The EAP profile (PDF, 64KB) is completed for students who are identified as eligible for the Education Adjustment Program. This means that the student will have a current verification in one or more of the EAP disability categories.
The EAP profile is used to record the range and frequency of a sample of education adjustments made for the individual student. It is completed by the school team with consideration given to the evidence and documentation of the education adjustments recorded on the profile.
Validation is the department’s quality assurance process of the EAP profile. This process is implemented, in a random selection of schools, across the state by statewide validators over a three year cycle.
The purpose of the EAP validation process is to:
- ensure that the data obtained through the EAP process is valid and reliable
- assure that consistency of reporting of adjustments is maintained over time, and across school contexts
- assist schools in understanding the profile question intent and requirements for accurately reflecting the current adjustments being made for students.
The validation process asks school teams to provide current school documents to support the adjustments recorded on the most recently approved EAP profile.
