The department is committed to providing our school leaders and teachers with the support and training they need to lift the learning outcomes for students with disability.
Principals, teachers, support staff, and departmental officers make the difference to learning for students in our schools. We are committed to attracting the right people with the right skills in the right locations, and supporting our education workforce to continually refresh and reinvigorate their practice. This is done through modelling best practice, strong professional development and access to resources and expertise as provided through the Autism Hub and Reading Centre.
We will also continue to build the Queensland evidence base on excellence in teaching and learning for students with disability through the Evidence Hub and showcasing the great practice already occurring in Queensland state schools.
