The Department of Education values reporting, data and research.
The Department of Education's
Annual Report details our achievements, performance and financial position for the financial year against our strategic plan. It supports our commitment to accountability to the Queensland Parliament and the community.
Each Queensland school also shares information about itself in its annual report. The
Annual Reporting Policy for all Queensland schools sets out the minimum annual reporting requirements for all state and non-state schools. Queensland schools meet the reporting obligations required by both the Queensland and the Australian Governments by publishing this information.
The department has extensive datasets of student and school performance data survey results, administrative collections, research studies and evaluation reports. Access our data through the
Open Data Portal, the Early years data hub and the
School data hub. Training statistics and data is available on the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training website.
Engaging in high-quality research and utilising research findings enables the department's initiatives to be based on the best available evidence. Research helps to anticipate any emerging issues and challenges the department may face in the future. Research Services oversees research activities including research conducted in Queensland state schools and state education sites, communicating research findings and coordinating research projects.
