Empowering staff to act with confidence

The Queensland Government is delivering a comprehensive suite of professional learning resources to help state school staff tackle modern bullying. These initiatives are central to the government's commitment to safe, supportive and disciplined learning environments where every student can achieve and realise their full potential.

Staff play a vital role

School staff play a vital role in early intervention and prevention. Professional learning helps ensure they have the tools, knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond to and reduce bullying behaviours effectively.

Flexible, practical and evidence-based resources

The professional learning resources are designed to be flexible, practical and grounded in the latest evidence, ensuring all staff—whether individuals, teams or entire schools—can access the support they need to take action.

A tailored approach to professional learning

Staff can access a variety of learning formats to suit individual, team and school-wide needs. The learning suite includes:

  • On-demand, micro learning modules for busy schedules—the Addressing student bullying micro learning series is designed for flexible access, allowing staff to engage with content at a time that suits their schedule.
  • Team-based learning for collective action. The Stronger together: preventing and responding to bullying series is designed for team meetings and workshops, promoting shared understanding and collective responsibility.
  • Expert insights from national leaders—staff can access expert webinars featuring national leaders in bullying prevention. These recordings provide cutting-edge insights and strategies to help schools stay ahead in creating safe and disciplined learning environments.
  • Specialised online training from eSafety—the eSafety online modules, provide staff with specialised training on digital safety and cyberbullying prevention.

Empowering school staff to empower students

Knowing how to support young people with bullying equips school staff to support students and create safe, disciplined learning environments.
