Spotlight on schools – Becoming carbon neutral

​Corinda State High School became the first school in Queensland to achieve Carbon Neutral accreditation and the only Climate Active certified secondary school in Australia.

Corinda State High School is a large metropolitan co-educational Years 7 to 12 secondary school, located in the western suburbs of Brisbane, with a population of over 2,000 students and 200 staff. The school journey involved setting environmental sustainability as a strategic priority, audits of the school's emissions, infrastructure change, behavioural change, embedding sustainability as a curriculum focus and much more.
