The Parent and Community Code of Conduct (the Code) describes the ways in which parents, carers and visitors should conduct themselves while on Queensland state school grounds, at school activities, and when interacting with others in the school community.
It sits alongside the Student Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service (for staff).
The Code was created to support the department's Principal Health and Wellbeing Strategy and to ensure school environments are positive and respectful.
Queensland state schools may choose to adopt this Code, adapt it to suit their local community or create their own.
Ask your school if they have a Parent and Community Code of Conduct.
Look out for the poster.
