Opportunity overview
The Queensland Classroom Program (QCP) at Tokyo Global Gateway (TGG) offers state school educators a unique opportunity to showcase Queensland's education system. The QCP, located in downtown Odaiba, Tokyo, is a specialised space within the TGG facility, providing Japanese students with an opportunity to learn English in a Queensland-style classroom.
Participants will travel to TGG for up to 12 weeks to deliver hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), promote the development of English language skills and foster cross-cultural learning experiences. The QCP offers multiple intakes which span across the year. As TGG is an English-only facility, Japanese language proficiency is not required to participate in the program.
Through this program, participants not only represent and demonstrate Queensland's progressive and high-performing education system; they also contribute to the strengthening educational ties between Japan and Queensland.
