Opportunity overview
The Taiwan Teacher Assistant Program offers Queensland state schools a unique opportunity to host up to 2 Chinese (Mandarin) teaching assistants for 1 semester. The Taiwanese assistants, who are undertaking master's degrees in Taiwan, will join participating school(s) to provide in-classroom support during Chinese language lessons to accelerate and enhance students' language skills.
This program allows schools to enrich their Chinese language curriculum by leveraging the expertise of native speakers, fostering a deeper appreciation for the Chinese language and Taiwanese culture within the classroom. By integrating these teaching assistants, schools can create a more immersive learning environment that not only improves language proficiency but also fosters students' intercultural awareness and understanding, helping to cultivate globally competent citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.
