The Rural and Remote Teacher Experience Program is an opportunity for Queensland state school teachers considering teaching in a rural or remote state school.
The program includes a 1-day orientation with the host school, a weekend living in the community and 5 days of teaching in place of the host teacher. The in-school experience for classified roles will be negotiated with the host location.
The program is organised and funded by the department through an expression of interest process.
Please refer to the Rural and Remote Teacher Experience Program page on the Teach Queensland website for more information.
