Allocation of funds
The aggregate amount of funds to be distributed to each sector is firstly determined. The distribution is based on a fixed component of $150 per institution, and a per capita allocation of the remainder.
Following this, the funds are then allocated to institutions within each sector on the following basis:
For the schooling sectors, allocations are based on a fixed component of $150 per school, plus a per capita component of $2.50 per student. The remaining per capita funds are pooled at the sector level and distributed according to VET activity.
P-10 schools, special schools, and schools in detention centres each receive a $5 per capita component (rather than $2.50 per capita).
Allocations for TAFE Institutes are based on a fixed component of $150 per TAFE Institute, and a per capita allocation of the remainder.
