Early Childhood is responsible for:
approving and regulating early childhood services under the relevant
legislation
funding kindergarten and long day care services to deliver quality
kindergarten programs in Queensland
funding support services for families
to enable early childhood development
promoting
successful transitions
from home to early childhood education to school, for children and families, including leading the:
Australian Early Development Census data collection in Queensland
Age-appropriate pedagogies
in the early years pilot project.
