State primary and secondary schools
Allocation of funds
Funds will be allocated to regions based on the number of teachers with consideration to distance.
Regions then manage these budget allocations as follows:
Metropolitan North
- Funding is used by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
- Some funding may be distributed to schools to assist in achieving program outcomes.
Metropolitan South
- Funding is used by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
- Some funding may be distributed to schools to assist in achieving program outcomes.
South East region
- No payments are made to schools. Funding is used by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
Darling Downs South West region
- No payments are made to schools. Funding is used by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
North Coast region
- Funding is held by the region to manage the program outcomes.
- Some funding may be distributed to schools to assist in achieving program outcomes (e.g. professional development requirements).
Central Queensland region
- No payments are made to schools. Funding is used by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
North Queensland region
- Some funds may be distributed to schools to support curriculum activities, dependent on the program priorities.
- Funding is held by the region to manage the program outcomes.
Far North Queensland region
- Program funding is used by the region to deliver program outcomes.
- Some funds are paid to schools to assist with Teacher Relief Scheme (TRS) for teachers that share exemplar work with other schools.

Payment times will vary based on regional methodologies including timing of activities and professional development.
Data requirements
Data required will depend on the individual regional methodology.
How to apply
Schools do not need to apply for this funding. Programs are administered by regional offices who will work with relevant schools regarding participation in programs.
