​​​​Purpose

To assist schools with the purchase of cleaning equipment, chemicals and consumables, and the repair of cleaning equipment.

Eligibility

DoE locations (including state schools) with Department of Education cleaning employees (i.e. non-contract) and Hayman Island State School.

Allocation of funds

Allocation of funds is based on clea​ner Full Time Equivalent (FTE) allocated to a site with a minimum base allocation.

The individua​l school allocation is as follows:

  • Base + (cleaner FTE x FTE Rate)

Rates are as follows:

  • Base = $627
  • FTE Rate will vary each year based on total budget and total FTEs. Rate is calculated as follows:
    • Available budget less Base total for all schools, balance allocated across total cleaner FTE.

Schools with a kindergarten are allocated additional funds based on 4% of school term payment made by the early childhood centre provider.

How to apply

Schools do not need to apply for this funding. Entitlements will be calculated and paid automatically each year.
