Purpose
To assist schools to implement professional development activities in support of curriculum implementation priorities as described in the 'professional development agenda' each year.

Eligibility
Schools are identified by the region to host or implement syllabus implementation professional development activities.
Allocation of funds
Funding equivalent to an average AO7 salary and wages including on-costs is allocated to each region. Regions then manage these funds as follows:
Metropolitan South region
- No payments are made to schools.
- Funding is held by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
Metropolitan North region
- Funding is held by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
- Funds may be distributed to schools to support program activities dependent on program priorities.
South East region
- No payments are made to schools.
- Funding is held by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
Darling Downs South West region
- No payments are made to schools, except under special circumstances and then only for Norfolk Island Central School.
- Funding is held by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
North Coast region
- Some funds may be distributed to schools to support curriculum activities, dependent on the program priorities.
- Funding is held by the region to manage the program outcomes.
Central Queensland region
- No payments are made to schools.
- Funding is held by the region to deliver the program outcomes.
North Queensland region
- Funding is held by the region to manage the program outcomes.
- Some funds may be distributed to schools to support curriculum activities, dependent on the program priorities.
Far North Queensland region
- Program funding is used by the region to deliver program outcomes.
- Funds may be paid to schools to assist with TRS for professional development.
Payment details
Payment to schools will depend on the individual regional allocation methodology.
Data requirements
Data required for the determination of payments will depend on the individual regional allocation methodology.
Recoupment process
Where schools are funded to deliver programs of professional development and these are subsequently cancelled or not delivered, funds may be recouped from schools.
