Purpose
To assist schools to support Indigenous students to be enrolled, engaged and achieving in school, and progressing at the same rate as non-Indigenous students.

State schools with Indigenous students enrolled.
Allocation of funds
An annual budget of $26m is provided to schools on a needs-basis, taking into consideration the socio-educational advantage of a school as well as a school's indigenous student enrolments.
- 80% of annual budget is allocated to schools based on Index of Community Socio-educational Advantage (ICSEA) weighted indigenous student enrolments.
- 20% of annual budget is allocated to schools based on indigenous student enrolments.
- Residual payment: funding for this program is based on enrolments and school entitlements will change from year to year. Any remaining budget at the end of the financial year will be paid to schools based on the same weightings used to calculate the annual payment.

Schools do not need to apply for this funding. Entitlements will be automatically calculated and paid each semester.
