Expenditure guidelines

From 2023, Investing for Success (I4S) funding is no longer required to be tracked through a dedicated cost centre within OneSchool. The cost centre 2070—Great Results Guarantee / Investing for Success will continue to be available if schools wish to charge I4S expenditure against this cost centre.

Allocation of funds

Indicative I4S school funding allocations are communicated to schools in Term 4 each year, with allocations finalised in Term 1 of the payment year. Further information on the allocations and how these are calculated is available to schools on OnePortal (search 'Investing for Success'). Principals may choose to share this information with their school communities in a variety of ways.

Funding methodology

From 2023, the I4S calculation method and processes have been simplified. Each school's funding will be calculated using the school's 2022 per-student funding amount multiplied by the Day 8 enrolment data from the relevant year.

The minimum amount of I4S funding a school can receive is set at $5,633.

A planner is available to schools on OnePortal, which shows their 2022 per-student amount and allows them to estimate the I4S funding they can expect to receive.
