To assist schools in undertaking new work and/or minor maintenance activities.

Allocation of funds
There are 2 types of allocations outlined below.
Minor works annual appropriation
- Schools receive a standard 5% increase annually, worked on their prior year's allocation.
- New schools initially receive a $5,000 base payment, with annual increase of $5,000 over their first 4 years of operation. They then receive the standard annual 5% increase.
Minor works contingency appropriation
This annual allocation, provided to and managed by regional infrastructure, to assist in supporting schools to fund critical WH&S and priority works as identified under the Minor Works Program procedure. As this is application based, schools are required to submit an email request outlining their urgent/important funding need to their regional infrastructure advisor for approval.

How to apply
Minor works annual appropriation is centrally allocated and no application is required.
Minor works regional allocation is an application based funding source with requests directed, via email, to the school's regional infrastructure advisor.
