Outdoor and Environmental Education Centres with site-specific issues.

Allocation of funds

The total annual budget for distribution is $74,000. Eligible centres receive a fixed amount each year.

During 2019, the Chair of the Outdoor and Environmental Education Centres Principal Alliance (OEECPA) and the department discussed a review of the Site Specific—Outdoor and Environmental Education Centres school appropriation funding. A proposal was developed outlining the new application and selection for this program.

In February 2022, the OEECPA endorsed the changes for the 2022 and 2023 for this funding.​

Schools that were successful with their applications and will receive funding in 2022 and 2023 are the following: North Keppel Island Environmental Education Centre (EEC), Moreton Bay EEC, Jacobs Well EEC, Boyne Island EEC and Amaroo EEC.

How to apply

During September and October 2021, funding applications were open to all Outdoor and Environmental Education Centres. The successful schools for the 2022 and 2023 school years were notified in February 2022.​

Entitlements for these schools will be automatically paid each year as per the timeline above.

The new application and selection process will be run every 2 years.
