Purpose
This funding is provided to regions to support the operation of Positive Learning Centres and outreach. Positive Learning Centres provide support for students of compulsory school age, enrolled in a state school, who at a given point in time require behaviour support beyond the capacity of a conventional classroom.
The aim is to reintegrate students into mainstream schooling or into more appropriate learning or vocational pathways.
Regions autonomously determine the operating model of each Positive Learning Centre, including the education program, referral/selection procedures and any outreach service response.
