To increase the employment of Indigenous teachers and grow the capability of Indigenous paraprofessionals within Queensland state schools.

Schools hosting a RATEP (community-based teacher education) Teacher Coordinator

Allocation of funds

Each year funds are distributed to schools hosting a RATEP Teacher Coordinator to contribute towards the operation of the program including stationery and educational resources.

Recurrent funding of $600 for schools with 5 or less students, and $1,200 for schools with greater than 5 students.

Establishment funding - depends on the cost to set up suitable facilities as determined by the site checklist and as agreed between the school principal and the state program coordinator.
