Purpose

To assist schools with the cost of participation in rural and/or remote projects.

2024*–2026

Eligibility

Eligible state schools approved by Rural, Remote and Strategic Initiatives.

Allocation of funds

Funding is allocated to cover expenses identified in specific rural and remote projects where Rural, Remote and Strategic Initiatives has agreed to meet these costs.

Current project

Gardens in schools project—total funding of up to $544,982 has been allocated.

This project serves as an educational tool to promote sustainability and outdoor learning that develop skills, understanding, and a positive connection with nature within the school community. Tagai State College is the sole recipient of this funding.

Payment details

Recoupment policy

Where schools are funded to deliver projects, these are subsequently cancelled or not delivered, funds may be recouped.

Schools do not need to apply for this funding.
