To provide funds for the operation of state school boarding facilities.
Funds are provided to meet the costs of establishment (staffing) and operating expenses.

Expenditure guidelines
These funds are provided to state school boarding facilities as revenue under cost centre 119100 and must be expended under cost centre 208500—salaries and wages or 206600—operations.
Allocation of funds
Funds will be distributed in line with approved staffing and operational model.

Recoupment policy
Staffing underspends will be recouped in February/March of the following year. Operational underspends can be discussed to determine if a recoupment will occur or be carried forward.
How to apply
Schools do not need to apply for this funding. Entitlements are automatically paid to eligible schools.
