Purpose
To assist schools with supervising Trade to Teach (T2T) interns by providing Teacher Relief Scheme (TRS) payments. Funding for five (5) TRS days per annum is allocated to the host school of each intern.

2024–2027
Eligibility
State Schools who have been allocated a T2T Internship Program teacher intern.
Allocation of funds
Combined funding of $645,000 has been allocated to the T2T internship program for FY 2023–24 to 2026–27. A total of 5 TRS days per annum are paid to the hosting school for the supervision (4 days) and mentoring (1 day) of each T2T intern.

Recoupment policy
The funds for this program are paid based on where the T2T interns are located. Recoupment may be sought where an intern exits the school.
How to apply
Annual TRS allocations are determined centrally and paid directly to eligible schools—formal application for this appropriation is not required.
