School improvement—school reviews

​​​​​Purpose

To assist schools with costs associated with the school review program.

The Department of Education regularly reviews Queensland state schools to ensure they're delivering a quality education to students.

All Queensland state schools have a review at least every 4 years.

There are 3 types of school reviews:

  • Self-determined for schools identified as having a trajectory of sustained improvement.
  • Full school reviews the standard (default) review type for Queensland state schools.
  • Priority support reviews for schools identified as needing additional support.

Eligibility

State Schools (including IPS, Special and OEEC).

Allocation of funds

Self-determined reviews: Funding, to a maximum of $4,650, is available towards the cost of a self-determined review, upon receipt of a review report.

Payment details

Payments are made on receipt of a claim form and will be made in the next available monthly payment to schools.

How to apply

Schools may claim funds by completing a claim form, available from the School and Region Reviews (SRR) branch​, and sending the completed form to reviews.finance@qed.qld.gov.au.
