Purpose
To provide funding for up to 4 consecutive days to assist schools in releasing staff, including classroom teachers, heads of program, school leaders for role-related responsibilities and approved activities to support departmental initiatives.

Allocation of funds
Schools that receive funding under this program will be provided with Teacher Relief Scheme (TRS) payments equivalent to the number of staff and number of days released to participate in the outlined activities. TRS payments must relate specifically to the approved TRS activity and the school that required teacher replacement.
Payments will only be processed after appropriate approval from the relevant Department of Education (DoE) business unit funding the activity.
