acceptable use policy.
The Queensland Government Department of Education provides QLearn only to authorised users and only for official schooling and work purposes.
Your use of QLearn (including any email, messaging or communication functions) is logged, may be monitored, and where potentially unlawful conduct is detected, referred to law enforcement agencies.
Students – please refer to your school's Student Code of Conduct for your obligations and the consequences of non-compliance or ask your teacher for more information.
Staff – you must comply with the
Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service and department policies and procedures, including the
Standard of Practice (PDF, 756KB). You must not access systems or use, record, retain or disclose information if you are not authorised to do so. You must not access records for personal interest.
Parents, carers and guests – you must not access systems or use, record, retain or disclose information if you are not authorised to do so.
Unauthorised access and misuse of information may result in you being charged with an offence, e.g. under section 408E of the Criminal Code Act 1899 (Qld), and may have disciplinary and professional consequences for staff (such as loss of employment and cancellation of registration).
We may vary these conditions of use from time to time and you should review them regularly. Changes will become effective when we publish the revised conditions of use on QLearn. We will not separately notify you of these changes.
Non-Queensland Government services
QLearn provides access to websites, applications, materials or other services provided by third parties, including our service providers. You acknowledge that your use of third party services is subject to acceptable use policies, privacy statements and other terms of those third parties. These terms are accessible through QLearn or the third parties’ websites. Links to terms and other information about third party providers are available on the
