A range of transport options are available to assist your child attend school including healthy options such as walking and cycling. The Queensland Government offers financial assistance under the School Transport Assistance Scheme to eligible students. This assistance is available to students whose access to education facilities is affected by distance, disability, or financial disadvantage or if the students are from areas designated as drought-declared. For further information contact your local Queensland Transport office or visit the Department of Transport and Main Roads website.

Students with disabilities may also be eligible for taxi or contract minibus. For more information on school transport assistance for students with disabilities, contact your local regional office or visit the School Transport webpage.

Safe School Travel is a Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads scheme designed to improve student transport safety.
