The Transition Support Service (TSS) supports Aboriginal students and Torres Strait Islander students in remote and discrete Queensland communities with limited program or no local secondary schools.
This includes assisting state schools within these communities, and schools and boarding providers who receive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from these isolated communities to support positive and confident transitions.
The service specifically helps students to identify ‘best fit' secondary options, transition needs and opportunities to complete the secondary phase of schooling, over 3 key areas:
- Enrolment and transition support
- Secondary school transition support
- Transit support.
