​​​​​​​An expert approach to addressing and reducing bullying​

An expert advisory panel has been formed to provide expert advice to the Department of Education and guide the delivery of effective anti-bullying strategies. Led by Professor Donna Pendergast, the panel brings together experts to provide advice so we can make real changes to prevent and respond to bullying.

Advising on anti-bullying solutions for schools and the community

  • Expert guidance—the panel has been established with experts in the field including child psychology and development, health, and academics in the field of education and bullying.
  • Collaborative effort—the panel will take a multi-disciplinary approach to tackle bullying in schools and the community, considering a range of evidence-based approaches which prevent and respond to bullying.

Driving collective action to tackle bullying

  • Informed by evidence—the panel ensures Queensland's anti-bullying strategies are evidence-based and best practice. This holistic approach ensures that solutions are both practical and impactful.
  • Practical solutions for schools and communities—bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the panel helps shape practical, actionable solutions that empower schools, families and communities to respond to bullying with confidence and consistency.
