The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (the Duke of Ed) is an internationally recognised framework used by young people aged 14 to 24 to build confidence, skills and real-world experience. The Duke of Ed provides a guided pathway for registered users of the framework to try new activities, stay active, build skills and contribute to community. Each young person undertakes an individualised journey with the support and guidance of a Duke of Ed Leader.
The Department of Education is licenced by the National Award Operator to offer The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award in Queensland. The Duke of Ed in Queensland is also overseen by the Queensland State Award Committee.
