Opportunity overview
The Tokyo Global Gateway (TGG) facility provides students from Tokyo and around Japan with the opportunity to experience speaking English in daily life situations, such as checking into a hotel, ordering at a restaurant or travelling overseas. It also includes programs that focus on science and technology, business, international contribution and international exchange.
Located in downtown Odaiba, the Queensland Classroom Program is a dedicated room that sits within the TGG facility and provides students with the experience of learning in a real Queensland classroom as part of their visit.
Two Queensland teachers per intake will travel to TGG for up to 12 weeks. They are required to develop and deliver lessons to local Japanese students with a focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, showcasing inquiry-based and hands-on learning.
As the TGG is an English only facility, Japanese language speaking ability is not a requirement to participate in the program.
