The Education Futures Institute (EFI) empowers educators, departmental staff, school and system leaders to build their professional expertise and wellbeing by engaging in high-quality, targeted capability development at key career stages.
A thriving and capable workforce helps our young people to realise their potential. The
Equity and Excellence education strategy outlines how the department inspires a workforce culture of professional excellence and sustained improvement.
The EFI empowers a thriving workforce through:

- innovative partnerships with leading academic, education and industry partners
- targeted coaching and capability development to leverage professional expertise and school improvement
- providing more accessible, contemporary professional learning for staff.
The EFI has a statewide footprint with 12 regional locations to provide support across the state.
Available learning opportunities

- Mandatory training
Programs that staff are required to undertake to understand the responsibilities of their role. - Educational leadership and flagship programs
