Our students are preparing for a very different future than the world faced by their parents. To succeed in an interconnected and interdependent world, young people need the skills and understanding to connect with other cultures, both locally and globally. The Department of Education recognises that our students live in a globally connected world and aims to create successful, global citizens.
In support of this goal, Global Engagement has collaborated with partners to offer a range of global immersion programs in Europe. These programs focus on the development of our students as global citizens of the future, with an emphasis on the development of their language skills.
Chaperoning also provides professional development opportunities for teachers to increase language proficiency and improve teaching and learning in the classroom.
Global programs are offered in Italy, United Kingdom, France and Belgium.
