Although there is currently no fixed budget for this program, at times, funding may be available to trial language programs at specific schools.
For appropriations made to schools to undertake trials or support other schools in specific priority areas relating to languages, and where a limited number of schools have the required capability or expertise, selection is based on:
- evidence from regions, including the school's ability to meet specialised project needs
- achieve program outcomes
- the most experienced in the priority area
- geographical spread.

How to apply
Currently, there is no need for schools to apply for funding. As opportunities arise, schools will be informed and be selected by a suitable panel using criteria previously approved at Executive Director level.
