Purpose
To assist schools with replacement of approved classroom teachers for the Restart Teaching program.

Eligibility
State schools with Approved Facilitators.
Allocation of funds
Schools with approved facilitators will receive $200 per participant in their allocated group.
Program requirements and costs
The $200 per participant allocation can be utilised by the schools for Teacher Replacement costs.
Restart Teaching program costs $440 (to be paid by the individual) per participant and is open to all:
- current Queensland state school teachers
- teachers returning to teaching in Queensland state schools after extended leave or a period of absence from the classroom
- those who have never taught in a classroom since obtaining their teaching qualifications
- interstate or international teachers seeking employment in Queensland state schools.
Restart Teaching—program dates
There are 2 intakes each year for the Restart Teaching program.
2023 program dates

How to apply
Schools do not need to apply for this funding. Entitlements will be automatically calculated and paid based on facilitators and their allocated group and the data collection cycle.
