Purpose
To assist schools with supporting preservice, beginning and early career teachers with Teacher Relief Scheme (TRS) payments as they progress along the teaching continuum by providing consistent and streamlined professional development that empowers confident and capable teaching professionals.

2020 to 30 June 2023
Eligibility
State schools who can identify as having beginning and early career teachers, mentors, coaches, supervisors and school leaders who are released to attend Teacher Learning Centre (TLC) professional learning events. State schools who release teachers to deliver professional learning at TLC and professional learning events.
Allocation of funds
The program calculates the TRS payment at the end of each month based on confirmed attendance of state school beginning and early career teachers, mentors, coaches, supervisors and school leaders at TLC professional learning events. The current TRS rate will be used in the calculation.
The program also includes TRS for teachers who deliver professional learning at TLC professional learning events.
Some travel and associated expenses may be available as determined centrally on a case by case basis.

How to apply
TRS payments are approved by the TLC Regional Manager and paid directly to eligible schools based on event attendance records. Associated expenses are approved by the TLC Regional Manager and paid directly to eligible schools based on approval by Learning and Professional Development.
