Purpose
To assist schools with funding towards the transport costs of students engaging in regional parliamentary sittings and youth parliament.

Eligibility
Queensland state and non-state schools will be invited to attend parliamentary sittings in their region with details on funding support determined for each area at the time of the parliamentary sitting and youth parliament.
Allocation of funds
This is a regional program and each region may distribute funds to schools based on regional criteria.
In 2023, the Far North Queensland will distribute the funds as follows.
The following subsidies are available for student travel until available funding is exhausted:
- $300 for a student flying to attend
- $100 for a student travelling greater than 4 hours
- $50 for a student travelling between 1.5 and 4 hours
- $25 for a student travelling by bus/car within 1.5 hours.
Payment will be made within 2 months of the event occurring (pursuant to schools providing event attendance data).

How to apply
Schools invited to attend the regional youth parliament and parliamentary sittings will register students' attendees. School will provide the number of actual attendees for payment.
