Principal Induction SIMposium

​​​​​Purpose

To assist schools with the replacement of their principal to attend the Principal Induction SIMposium program.

The Principal Induction SIMposium program aims to ensure that newly appointed principals have the skills and knowledge needed to drive school improvement.

Eligibility

State schools staff (Level 1 or 2 (formerly Band 5 or 6) with a teaching component to the principal's role) who attend the Principal Induction capability development program.​

Allocation of funds

Funding is based on the number of event days which participants need to be replaced and will be calculated using the current rate of Teacher Replacement Scheme (TRS).​

Recoupment policy

As some payments are made in advance, a recoupment may be made if the participant cancels or doesn't attend the event.

How to apply

Schools do not need to apply for this funding.

Participants nominate for the number of event days which they need to be replaced when registering to attend through the iVVy system.

TRS (current rate) will be paid through Conference Services to schools where attendance to the event has been confirmed.​
