To assist schools with costs associated in replacing teachers who are engaged as mentors in the Become a Rural and Remote Teacher program.
Duration of program
31 December 2023
Schools where a Become a Rural and Remote teacher mentor teacher is based.
Allocation of funds
One teacher will be engaged to provide mentoring to each scholarship recipient for the Become a Rural and Remote Teacher program. The program supports university students studying to become a teacher and have a commitment to working in Queensland’s rural and remote state schools at the completion of their study.
The mentoring teachers may change from term to term and, therefore, the schools that receive funding under this program may also change. The amount that the school receives for Teacher Relief Scheme (TRS) will be in line with the current TRS rate.
Payments are made on submission of TRS claim forms and are made in line with the monthly scheduled TRS payments.
